With her black hair and striking red eyes, Asha can come off as intimidating to those who do not know her well. Tall and slim, her strength lies in her speed and dexterity. Able to duck and weave around dangers, she is best for getting into tight places or surmounting objects that might block her path. However, she lacks actual physical strength - having to rely on nearby Pokemon to move objects or defend herself as she can’t handle a strong hit from an attack sent her way like any more brawny rangers could.
Asha, at first, doesn’t seem like much of a Ranger type. Nervous and soft-spoken around people, it's only when she is out in the field or facing dangers that she truly comes alive. Kind and brave, Asha has the habit of pushing herself to help others - mostly without even thinking at first. She is quick to try to sort out a problem without putting thought into it - the type to use water on an oil fire in an effort to quickly put out the flames instead of thinking of if that is the way to do it or not. However, this rashness is part of her hesitation in social situations - being able to pick up the emotions of others, she is often determined to help them even if they may not want it, leading to her having too often restrain herself from jumping in to help problems which are not her business. Her true kind nature is easily seen when out interacting with the native Pokemon of the region, feeling more at ease around them.
Born in the Aqua Resort located within the Oblivia region, Asha had a rather unremarkable childhood. It was noted that she had a skill at reading peoples emotions - giving hugs to strangers who had bad days and the like. It wasn't until an event that nearly got her killed - exploring the nearby Mt. Sorbet to learn why the local Pokemon were distressed... Right before a sudden blizzard arrived - that it was realized that she was truly reading the emotions of those around her due to her minor empathic psychic abilities. But the incident did lead her to meet an Absol that saved her life - and upon reading about them and the superstitions behind them led her to be determined to become a Pokemon Ranger. She wanted to protect all Pokemon, even those who weren't necessarily trusted like Absols, in payment for one saving her life. She set off to join a Ranger School, completed her training... And returned to Mt. Sorbet to locate the Absol that had saved her life. Managing to do so, she spent time convincing the Absol to join her as her Partner and managed to win his trust, naming him Yuki before they set off as a team to the Almia region.
