Here's the complete list of requirements for ranking your characters up, separated by class. Note that these don't include Special ranks, because those follow an audition process and have no higher rank.[break][break]

Ranger

Student ⟶ Rookie Ranger[break]

> One thread with a Teacher.[break]
> One thread learning Capture, Pokémon Assists, and Target Clears. Can be the same thread, or separate.[break]
> One development thread with another character at the School. Could be the bravery test ritual, helping the Groundslady clean up outside, saving Little Timmy from falling down the well, an Outside Class, etc.[break]
> One 1-Day Internship thread. This is where your character goes to the Ranger Union or the Ranger Base in Vientown and spends the day with full Rangers.[break]
> One month since character approval.

Development Threads:

These are mentioned throughout the rank requirements. All this means is a thread that develops your character more as a person, or develops their relationships with others more. Examples of these would be assisting a Ranger in the field, helping an injured Pokémon, getting your Pokémon healed at a PokéCenter, chatting with others, having a friendly spar, etc.
